About The Band

“Camel Tofu- Old School Punk, Garage Rock, Rock and Roll, and a dash of Metal, thrown into a mixer, flipped on high, and making a filthy mess.”
Camel Tofu’s debut EP was recorded over a long sweaty weekend with copious amounts of refreshments consumed. The effort has resulted in sparkling reviews like the one from Colorado Punk Rock Army.
“This band brings punk rock with a Harley.”
“They bring a mix of old school punk into the modern age.”
“Sounds Like: The 250’s, Bad Religion, Black Flag, The Exploited, Dead Milkmen, The Melvins, and The Damned.”
After a couple of line-up changes, the quartet consists of John Scott-guitar, Cody “Sweezy”Brumfield-drums, Jeremy “Jerm” Nolen-vocals, and Codie “Boom Boom” Briscoe-bass.
Since starting in their central Illinois area, currently, the band is branching out with shows in Indianapolis and Columbus in the near future. They’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with many great bands including the legendary NIL8.
As a member of ShedRat Industries for over a year,
the band has now joined forces with indie punk rock label, River Monster Records of South Carolina and plan to release new music in 2019.
